These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in and benefits derived from the “Make Room for Pride – MagickHome Campaign” (“Campaign”), organized by MagickHome Interiors Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By participating in the Campaign and/or accepting the home makeover prize, each selected participant (“Winner,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to abide by these Terms in full.


1. Objective of the Campaign

The “Make Room for Pride” campaign is a creative and inclusive initiative by MagickHome to recognize, celebrate, and empower individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community in India through meaningful, personalized home makeovers.

The Campaign will spotlight voices, stories, and identities that deserve visibility, and reward two selected winners with a complete home makeover experience valued at up to ₹5,00,000 (Five Lakhs INR) per winner, fully managed by MagickHome’s in-house interior design and production team.


2. Campaign Duration

The Campaign will run from 1st June 2025 to 21st June 2025, with applications open during this period. The Organizer reserves the right to extend or curtail the duration without prior notice.


3. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to participate in the Campaign and receive a home makeover, applicants must meet all the following criteria:

3.1 Identity and Age

  • Must be a member or strong ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older as of the date of application.

3.2 Residency

  • Must be a permanent resident or citizen of India.
  • Must reside in a location where MagickHome’s services and contractors are available (primarily in metros and Tier 1 cities).

3.3 Property Ownership/Permission

  • Must either own the property being proposed for makeover OR provide documented authorization from the legal property owner/landlord.
  • The property must be a residential space (e.g., studio apartment, flat, room, or house).

3.4 Availability and Willingness

Must be available for site visits, interviews, shoots, and coordination during the makeover period.

Must consent to feature in video and photography content, and to the public sharing of their story and makeover journey for promotional purposes.


4. How to Apply

Participants must create a post via Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn which includes:

  1. Create a Post, Share a Photo, Video, Write-up or Image carousel answering the specific question ‘What’s the boldest thing you’ve done to make your home yours?’
  2. Make sure to tag @MagickHome in your post.
  3. Use #MakeRoomForPride to spread the word.
  4. T&C applied

All entries must be authentic and original. Submissions found to contain false or misleading information will be immediately disqualified.


5. Selection Process
  • A jury comprising LGBTQIA+ community leaders, design professionals, and representatives from MagickHome will review the applications.
  • Selection will be based on:
    • Relevance, emotional strength, and originality of the story.
    • Feasibility of makeover within budget and logistical constraints.
    • Impact potential – personal, social, or community-oriented.

Winners will be contacted by phone and/or email. If a selected winner cannot be reached within 7 business days, the Organizer reserves the right to choose an alternate winner.


6. Scope of the Home Makeover

Each selected winner will receive a home makeover valued up to ₹5,00,000. The makeover will include:

  • Interior design consultation and space planning.
  • Furniture and furnishings, such as beds, sofas, tables, wardrobes, and storage.
  • Paint or wallpaper, lighting, decor items
  • Labor and project management  for procurement, delivery, installation, and finishing.

The final scope will be defined after:

  • A detailed site assessment.
  • Design consultation with a maximum of 3 revisions with the MagickHome team.
  • Confirmation of property permissions and documentation.

6.1 Exclusions

The following services and items are not covered unless specifically approved:

  • Structural renovations or civil work (e.g., wall removal, plumbing, rewiring).
  • White goods or appliances (e.g., refrigerator, AC, washing machine).
  • Governmental permits or society-level permissions (to be arranged by winner).
  • Relocation, warehousing, or property repairs unrelated to design goals.

7. Execution Timeline
  • The full makeover process is estimated to take 4 to 5 weeks, depending on complexity and location.
  • Timeline begins after:
    • Site survey is complete.
    • Final design and materials are approved.
    • Required permissions are submitted.

The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to complete the project within the communicated timeline, barring unforeseen delays such as weather, strikes, or material unavailability.


8. Winner’s Responsibilities

By accepting the prize, each winner agrees to:

  • Cooperate fully with the design, production, and content teams.
  • Be physically present (or designate a responsible contact) during key project phases.
  • Ensure access to the site during working hours.
  • Avoid unnecessary interference during execution.

8.1 Consent to Media and Promotions

Winners irrevocably consent to:

  • Being filmed, interviewed, and photographed before, during, and after the makeover.
  • The Organizer using their name, story, likeness, residence images, and makeover content in campaign promotions across any media platforms without further approval or compensation.

9. Intellectual Property and Publicity Rights

All campaign materials, including video and photo content, design visuals, and written narratives, created during the process:

  • Remain the exclusive intellectual property  of the Organizer.
  • May be used in perpetuity, worldwide, across all media types for promotional, marketing, advertising, or documentary purposes.

Winners will not have editorial control or co-ownership of produced content.


10. Limitations and Disclaimers

The Organizer and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Any personal injury or property damage resulting from makeover implementation or use of installed items
  • Delays or loss due to acts of God, civil unrest, vendor issues, or third-party failures
  • Any legal claims from landlords, neighbors, or municipal authorities

Winners agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation or breach of these Terms.


DATA PRIVACY

All personal data collected during this Campaign will be used for purposes related to the Campaign, including verification, coordination, and publicity. MagickHome will handle the data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and its internal privacy policy.
